This session is designed for educational leaders seeking out ways to strengthen their support through High Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) and evidence-based instructional strategies. In this session, leaders will reflect upon how they are supporting others to intentionally make connections between their adopted materials and what we know as great instruction. Leaders will analyze NIET’s Teaching and Learning Rubric descriptors carefully and apply this learning to practice scenarios. As a result of engaging in this learning, leaders will create a plan for supporting teachers within their district moving forward. The day will include deep discussion around how the attendees can lead their schools to improve the connections between evidence-based practices and HQIM, how we can best support teachers by connecting evidence-based practices to HQIM, how school leaders and their staffs can engage in the process of improving learning over time, and how we can best reflect on support that propels teachers forward. You will be able to review the work you have done with these presenters, and you will be renewed as you plan to improve the work you are doing in 2024/2025.
