This event is planned for and by Principals who know what they need to improve learning in their schools. By request, this first Principal’s Cohort event for the 2024/2025 school year will focus on three clearly defined ‘areas of need’ in our state’s schools. We will talk about best practices to support student discipline, alternative placement, and positive behavioral supports that leave time for real teaching and learning for all students. This event will feature keynote presentations by three current or former principals and supervisors who have had success in managing student behavior for effective, engaged learning. We will begin the discussion with Discipline, move to Alternative Schools and Alternative Placements, and end with best practices in PBIS.
